The Venetian casino is located in the Ca Vendramin Calergi built between 1481 and 1509 in complex classical Renaissance style by Andrea Loredan, of a family famous for several of the leading architectural pieces in the city. The casino is in Cannaregio, on the north bank of the Grand Canal. Richard Wagner died in the palace, which incorporates a Wagner museum.
