Description
Limited Edition Reproduction of 500 Paper & 100 Canvas Only
The Lamb Island jetty shed is part of the history of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands. It was constructed in September 1939 from locally milled cypress and tallowwood. It is the only remaining example of the sheds first built on each of the jetties of Russell, Karragarra, Lamb and Macleay Islands. This is the fourth in a series of six landscapes looking towards, or at Lamb Island.
Other islands shown in the distance are, Macleay, Russel, North Stradbroke and Karragarra. The water is important to everyone who lives on these islands. I find the colours in the water and sky in the early morning and afternoon as so inspirational.
