Limited Edition Reproduction of 100 Only
While touring the Gorge, I was taken off guard by this amazing tree stretching up towards the sky. Now passed, its beauty lingered for me. Lifting it’s bald branches through the cloud streaked sky to the landscape behind. I was in awe at the scene before me and knew I had to capture it. This view actually looks up towards Bartletts Lookout. For those not familiar. Clark Bartlett was a bit of a hermit, who built a dirt floor shack just over the road from this tree and became the man responsible for carving out many of the bushwalks at Cania Gorge we all tread down today. In effect Clark brought tourism to the Gorge and the community of Monto. He had many hangout’s, but the position of these cliffs, high above his timber hut, earned them the title of Bartletts lookout.
